Welcome

Robert Allison teaches history at Suffolk University and the Harvard Extension School. He is president of the South Boston Historical Society, vice president of the Colonial Society of Massachusetts.  He lives in South Boston.

Here I am at Cape Spartel, on the coast of Morocco. 

I am a Professor of History at Suffolk University in Boston, and also teach in the Harvard Extension School. My main interest in teaching and writing is American history.  My wife and I live in East Boston.  In addition to being president of the  Colonial Society of Massachusetts, I chair Revolution 250, a consortium of organizations planning commemorations of the Revolution's 250th anniversaries,  am a life-trustee of the USS CONSTITUTION Museum, and am involved with other history organizations.
